This is dedicated to Mr Marsh – wherever he may be – who used to teach like this. He also turned me on to Stephen R Donaldson so I am doubly grateful. One of very few good teachers in my school.

Teach the solution
And the solution will be forgotten
Teach how to solve
And solutions will be found
For life
