The vale veiled in mist
Treetops fray misty tendrils
Sunlight melts it down

See the sunlight play
In every dancing drop
A laughing shower

I’m fresh out of spring
Beyond the long summer days
Winter is coming

Height, falling, swooping
Skylarks catching air, rainfall
Drowns the fleeing mouse

Rusty
Is the spring in my step
Lost its purpose
Lacking oil
And energy
Waiting
Coiled
Will it bounce again?
One can hope

Bird sings by the pool
in the spring in a soft cool breeze
her voice a sweet sound
